Structural Steel for Extensions & Renovations
For residential extensions, renovations and loft conversions, Titan Forge fabricates structural steelwork to suit the drawings, calculations and site requirements of the project.
We support builders, architects and homeowners with accurately manufactured steelwork for domestic projects, from individual beams through to larger frames, columns, plates and connection details.
Steel for the whole project, fabricated to the drawings
Structural steel for residential extensions
Rear, side-return and wraparound extensions typically carry a package of steel: beams picking up the existing structure, columns at corners, and frames around glazed openings. We fabricate the full package to your engineer's schedule and deliver it together or in stages to suit your build.
Renovation and remodelling steelwork
Internal remodelling and renovation projects often need new beams, frames or columns introduced into an existing structure. We fabricate to the specified sections and connection details, with dimensions checked against the drawings before manufacture.
Loft conversion steelwork
Ridge and floor steels for loft conversions, cut and drilled to the engineer's schedule, sized for craneage or sized to be brought in by hand, as the site requires.
Large openings and glazed elevations
Goalpost and box frames keep the structure stiff enough for bi-fold doors, sliding doors and large glazed elevations to perform properly. We fabricate frames with baseplates and connections ready for site assembly.
Working with builders, architects and engineers
We're used to working as part of a wider project team, pricing from the architect's or engineer's information, coordinating revisions, and confirming delivery against the programme with whoever is running the site.
Fabricated to your drawings and calculations
Steelwork is manufactured to the supplied drawings, calculations or steel schedule. If calculations are still outstanding, we can organise them so fabrication follows straight from the approved design.
Supply, delivery and installation support
Fabricated at our workshop in Leyton, East London, finished in red oxide primer or as specified, and delivered to site. Installation support is available and can be quoted separately where required.
Our requirements for quoting
- Architect's plans and elevations
- Engineer's calculations and steel schedule, if available
- The site postcode and details around any access constraints

Frequently asked questions
Can you supply the full steel package for an extension?
Yes — beams, columns, frames, plates and padstones fabricated as one package to the engineer's schedule, delivered together or phased to suit the build sequence.
Can you deal directly with our builder or architect?
Yes, and it's usually the fastest way to run the job — we coordinate details, revisions and delivery dates with the team already on the project.
The steel schedule is still being finalised — can you quote yet?
Send the current drawings and we'll price provisionally, then confirm the quote when the schedule is fixed. If calculations are the missing piece, we can organise those too.
Can deliveries be phased?
Yes — packages can be split and delivered in stages to match the programme and what the site can hold.
