This notice explains how Titan Forge Ltd uses personal information when you visit our website or contact us about our gates, railings and metalwork services.

Who is responsible for your information?

Titan Forge Ltd is the data controller. You can contact us about this notice or your data protection rights at Unit 3, Shaftesbury Road, London, E10 7DA, United Kingdom; by email at [email protected]; or by telephone on 0208 558 9000.

Information we collect

When you make an enquiry, we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, email address, telephone number, postcode, service of interest, project details and correspondence. You may also choose to send photos or drawings. Please avoid including sensitive personal information or other people's information unless it is needed for your enquiry and you are entitled to share it.

Our website and service providers also receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, requested pages and the time of your visit. Optional analytics and maps process additional information only when you allow the relevant cookie category.

Providing information is your choice. The fields marked as required help us assess and respond to your request; without them we may be unable to process the form or provide an accurate quotation. You can contact us by email or telephone instead.

Why we use your information

  • Enquiries and quotations: to discuss your project, answer questions and prepare a quotation. Where you are asking us to enter into a contract with you, we rely on taking steps at your request before a contract. For other enquiries, including business contacts, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to requests and running our business.
  • Agreed work: to arrange and deliver services and communicate with you, relying on our contract with you. Business contact information may instead be processed for our legitimate interest in managing that relationship.
  • Security and administration: to operate the website, prevent spam and misuse, and manage correspondence, relying on our legitimate interests in protecting our services and dealing with enquiries.
  • Legal requirements: to meet applicable record-keeping obligations and respond to lawful requests, relying on legal obligation. Where relevant, handling disputes relies on our legitimate interest in establishing or defending legal claims.
  • Optional analytics and maps: to understand website use or display location maps, relying on your consent.

Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing or give consent to optional cookies.

Cookies, analytics and maps

Use Cookie settings in the footer to accept, reject or change optional choices. Required cookies support the website and remember your preferences. A session cookie, PHPSESSID, supports website sessions. Our preference cookie, cookieConsent, lasts for up to 180 days.

If you allow Analytical cookies, Google Analytics 4 helps us understand which pages are visited and how the website is used. It processes browser and device information, page activity and cookie identifiers. Google receives technical connection information, including your IP address. Our website limits analytics cookies to 180 days and disables advertising personalisation and Google Signals. Cookie expiry is separate from the retention of information in our Google Analytics account.

If you allow Functional cookies, Google Maps or OpenStreetMap can display our workshop location. Loading a map connects your browser to that provider, which receives your IP address and browser information and may use its own cookies or similar technology. Maps remain unloaded without Functional consent.

You can withdraw optional consent at any time. This stops future loading of the relevant features but does not undo processing that has already taken place. Our website cannot remove cookies held on another provider's domain. You can also manage cookies in your browser. Further details are available in the cookie settings and the Google privacy policy and OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy.

Enquiry forms and spam prevention

Form responses are stored in our website's enquiry records and sent by email to the configured enquiry recipient. Mailgun provides the website's email delivery service. Uploaded photos or drawings are attached to the enquiry email; temporary website copies are removed after processing, while email copies and related enquiry records may remain.

Google reCAPTCHA checks form submissions for spam and automated misuse. It loads when you submit a protected form and processes technical information about your browser, device and interaction with the service. Its check is separate from optional analytics and map consent. An unsuccessful check may prevent submission; you can contact us by email or telephone instead. See Google's Cloud privacy notice for information about Google's processing.

Who receives your information?

Information is available to people authorised to handle enquiries and website administration, and to providers of website hosting, technical support, email delivery and business email. Google receives information when reCAPTCHA is used and, with your permission, when analytics or Google Maps loads. The OpenStreetMap Foundation receives information when its map loads. Information may also be disclosed to professional advisers or authorities where necessary for legal obligations or legal claims.

International processing

Some providers operate internationally and may process information outside the United Kingdom. This includes Google and Mailgun; map services may also use infrastructure in other countries. UK data protection law requires an applicable transfer mechanism for restricted transfers, such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards. Google and Mailgun publish information about their arrangements in their data transfer information and privacy policy.

How long information is kept

Enquiry retention should reflect whether your request is still active, whether it leads to agreed work, and whether records are needed for follow-up, applicable legal obligations or a dispute. The same criteria apply to related emails and attachments. Website security records and backups need separate retention periods. Our preference and analytics cookies last up to 180 days; third-party services and Google Analytics account data have separate retention settings.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access your information, correct inaccuracies, erase it, restrict its use or receive a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Contact us using the details above to exercise your rights. We may need to confirm your identity. We normally respond within one month, subject to the extensions and exceptions allowed by law.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at any time. We would welcome the opportunity to address your concern first.

Changes to this notice

We will update this notice when our website or use of information changes. The date above shows when it was last updated.
